Join us for a presentation about the
Discovery of an ancient wooden structure within the glaciers of Mt. Ararat
In collaboration with Noah’s Ark Ministries International (NAMI), Ararat717 organization is scheduled to have a Sharing Meeting at the University of California, Los Angeles on October 17 of 2010 to discuss about the recent discovery of a Large Wooden Structure believed to be “the Ark of Noah.” NAMI is a Hong Kong Ark Search organization that first discovered the ancient structure at above 4000 meters on Mt. Ararat. We will present background history of the Mt. Ararat, the Biblical Ark and its significance to the Armenian Nation. And we would present video footage of the expedition and the evidence of the ancient structure at the meeting followed with questions and answers.
Members of both organizations have traveled to Armenia and discussed the results with reputable historians, geologists and archeologists from the Armenian Academy of Sciences, and have their supports. The NAMI team has also performed scientific tests such as radioactive carbon and geological dating which seem to backup some hypothesis as to what the discovery could represent (e.g., Russian Military Installation from 1800's, an Animal Shelter and old Armenian Monasteries have been ruled out by the geologists, historians and the Echmiadzin respectively).
We are well aware of the highly speculative and controversial aspects of the Ark research, yet one needs to keep an open mind and judge the facts and observations before passing judgment. Thus, through our Sharing Meeting we hope to gain more support of the Armenian scientific community for future expeditions to Mt. Ararat in validating the finding.
